33 years of ORSAY, 33 years of THE FEMININE STYLE! In the beginning, our fashions for women were only available in Germany. Today, our customers can find ORSAY in 19 countries throughout Europe. And this success will be further expanded step by step, in every case customised to the style and needs of the most important person: our customer!

1975	ORSAY starts with 35 shops and 220 employees in Germany. The first shop is opened in Karlsruhe with 70 m² of sales area.
1978 -1980	Construction of the ORSAY headquarters in Willstätt-Eckartsweier.
1980 -1985	The initial number of employees doubles.
1985	ORSAY's 10th birthday! The number of Orsay shops rises to 58.
1989	The 100th ORSAY shop opens its doors in the Franken Center in Nuremberg in Germany
1990	The number of employees exceeds 1,000 for the first time.
1991	ORSAY opens its first shop in the new federal states in Erfurt.
1992	Building of the second ORSAY headquarters in Willstätt-Sand.
1993	Opening of ORSAY's first shop in Austria in the Airport Center in Salzburg.
1995	ORSAY's 20th birthday! The company now has 2,000 employees and 193 shops.
1996	Expansion in central Europe: ORSAY's first shop in Switzerland is opened in Berne.
1997	ORSAY expands to eastern Europe: ORSAY's first shop is opened in Poland in Czeladz.
1998	ORSAY conquers the World Wide Web: ORSAY goes online at www.orsay.com. The company continues to grow in eastern Europe and opens its first shop in Pilzen in the Czech Republic.
1999	This is followed by ORSAY shops in Budapest in Hungary.
2000	ORSAY celebrates its 25th anniversary!
2002	The success in Poland means organisational changes: A new ORSAY headquarters to supervise the eastern European region is set up in Wroclaw.
2004 -2005	ORSAY enters two new countries: Slovenia and Croatia, with shops in Ljubljana and Zagreb respectively.
2005	ORSAY’s 30th birthday! There are now more than 400 shops throughout Europe and 4,000 employees worldwide.
2006	ORSAY expands to five new countries: Slovakia, Ukraina, Russia, Latvia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
2007	New shops in Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Turkey.
2008	New shop in Montenegro. ORSAY has 520 Shops in 19 countries.
